About

NewCoordinates, LLC is a retained executive search firm that partners with journalism, multi-platform media, and information businesses to recruit executive teams that help them reach higher.

She started her career as an editor at Delacorte | Dell Books and held business management roles at The New York Times and Business Week. At The New York Times, she led marketing and revenue development groups for several national advertising categories, and was on the planning team that mapped out the national edition expansion strategy. At McGraw-Hill, she was SVP Strategic Marketing and spearheaded Business Week’s digital media initiatives.

Cara was recruited to her ‘new coordinates’ in the recruitment industry after consulting to venture-backed Internet start-ups, and recognizing their need for entrepreneurial talent in the management ranks. She built digital media and publishing practices for three boutique search firms prior to founding NewCoordinates.
