Crain Recruits Financial Conference Programming Director
Michael Ocrant, an experienced financial journalist and conference producer, has joined Crain’s Pensions & Investments as its new Director of Conference Programming, reporting to Associate Publisher Nikki Pirrello in New York.
Ocrant is uniquely qualified to bring his experience to P&I’s growing conferences division, with 10 year’s experience as a Director in the Conferences Division at Institutional Investor, and earlier background as editor and journalist at MARHedge where he covered the alternative investments industry and published a definitive article in 2001 that first raised questions about the Madoff asset management operation. He was on the investigative team that researched and published the book No One Would Listen about the long pursuit to uncover the Madoff Ponzi scheme.
