Kathy Manilla Joins Chicago Public Media as VP Media Sponsorships

WBEZ 91.5 FM, Chicago Public Media’s NPR news station, has welcomed Kathy Manilla to its management team as VP, Integrated Media Sponsorships.

An experienced media veteran, Kathy brings 25 years’s experience in sales, marketing, and business development at the Tribune Company to this leading public media organization. She rose through local sales and marketing management roles at the Chicago Tribune; served as the first Director of Advertising Sales for Tribune Media Services, its integrated broadcast, print and digital media sales division; and was most recently VP, Business Development for the newspaper company. Directly prior to assuming this new role, she was a revenue consultant to media companies and digital start-ups.

At Chicago Public Media, Kathy assumes hands-0n leadership for the team responsible for marketing corporate sponsorship and underwriting programs that reach WBEZ’s audience community through its high-impact broadcast, digital, podcast, and events media programs. Concurrently, she assumes the role of Chicago market manager at Market Enginuity, CPM’s sponsorship sales partner firm, which employs the largest professional public media sales organization nationwide.
