NewCoordinates Completes Sponsorship Sales Searches for Public Radio Stations WAMU and KERA

Cara Erickson, President of media industry executive search firm NewCoordinates, LLC is pleased to have continued a relationship with leading sponsorship sales firm Market Enginuity by recruiting sales leaders to its organization on behalf of two of its partner stations, NPR affiliate WAMU (Washington, DC), and public radio and TV broadcaster KERA (Dallas, TX).

Effective immediately, Stephanie Shweiki is the new Director of Local Corporate Sponsorships Sales for WAMU 88.5, American University Radio and its digital and events programs. She brings a depth of experience in local media sales from leading commercial media organizations in DC, most recently as Director of Partnerships for Events at The Hill, and previously in senior broadcast sales roles at iHeart Media and at WTOP & Federal News Radio. Her background in the news media industry is uniquely cross-functional: Stephanie built earlier experience as a news producer for the Washington DC bureaus of European television networks including Irish TV, Swiss TV, and France 2 TV. A graduate of McGill University in Montreal, she holds a Masters in Communications and Journalism from American University.

In Dallas, Joanna Douglas has joined KERA as VP, Corporate Sponsorship Sales for KERA FM, KERA TV, and music station KXT and their digital properties serving public media listeners across North Texas. Her breadth of experience in commercial radio sales and media research and services make her uniquely qualified to lead the stations’ sales team. Joanna rose through sales and regional management roles at Nielsen Audio (formerly Arbitron) for more than 12 years, and was most recently responsible for sales and service for radio station clients in the Southeast. She also brings recent business development experience for a digital out-of-home media start-up. Her new role at KERA coincided with her return to the Dallas area from Atlanta. A graduate of Oklahoma State, Joanna earned an MBA at University of Georgia.
