NPR’s Former CMO, Dana Rehm, to Lead Marketing for AGU

Dana Davis Rehm has joined DC-based American Geophysical Union (AGU) as Director of Marketing, Communications, & Engagement a new interdisciplinary leadership role reporting to CEO Chris McEntee. As the leading membership society of Earth and Space scientists, AGU publishes more than a dozen prestigious scientific journals and produces some of the most important global scientific meetings in its disciplines.

Dana Rehm was formerly SVP, Marketing & External Relations at National Public Radio (NPR), where she rose through executive positions with responsibility for member marketing, strategy, and partnerships over a 12 year period. Previously, she was GM at Wisconsin Public Radio and held business management roles with pubic radio stations in Seattle, Washington. She holds a BA from Seattle University.

In making this appointment, AGU’s CEO cites Dana’s ‘cross-disciplinary expertise, and her ability to create, package, and distribute content to a variety of audiences across many channels’ as critical experience as the organization raises its profile and impact with its core constituencies, the media, and the general public. AGU’s expertise and content are of high topical value on the national agenda in subject areas such as climate change and environmental sustainability.
